Katt Williams Slams Tiffany Haddish – She Hasn’t Proven The Ability To Tell Jokes + Kevin Hart Responds
Katt Williams Calls Out Tiffany Haddish – She Hasn’t Proven The Ability To Tell Jokes + Kevin Hart Responds
Katt Williams is on a roll. The comedian recently made headlines for comments he made on “The Frank and Wanda Show” on Atlanta’s V-103. During that interview, he ripped into fellow comedians Hannibal Buress, Jerrod Carmichael, and Kevin Hart. However, his harshest criticism was saved for “Girls Trip” breakout star, Tiffany Haddish. Katt said this to Frank and Wanda:
“[Tiffany Haddish] been doing comedy since she was 16. You can’t tell me your favorite Tiffany Haddish joke. Why? Because she ain’t done a tour yet. She ain’t done a special. She has not proven the ability to tell jokes, back to back for an hour to nobody.”
It’s interesting to note that Tiffany’s “She Ready! From the Hood to Hollywood,” aired on Showtime in 2017 for 65 mins. As previously reported by Variety, Tiffany is recording a new one-hour comedy special for Netflix in early 2019. It will be released later on in the year.
Tiffany responded via Twitter, congratulating herself by being mentioned by a beloved comedian. She also mentioned out Katt stated some alternate facts to slight her, despite the fact that they both recently won Emmy awards. She said:
“@KattPackAllDay Thank you for the Plug my followers went up! You are the best uncle ever.”
She continued:
“It’s official I made it!@KattPackAllDay talked about me and didn’t have his facts right! #Iwin #sheready I look forward to seeing you on Monday Katt, when we pick up our Emmys. I just want to shower you with REAL Love cause you need it, and I Love you”
Fellow comedian Kevin Hart took to Instagram Live to come to Tiffany’s defense. He said:
“Let me break it down to you because I love to support. I go back with Tiff. I remember the days when Tiffany Haddish was sleeping out her car. I remember the days when Tiffany Haddish was homeless. I remember the days when Tiffany Haddish didn’t have not a dime in her goddamn pocket. Worked hard grinded and got to where she is today and at the height of her career when most should applaud, most should celebrate some choose to down.”
He continued to praise Tiffany’s tenacity:
“So what I see is a woman who is well deserving of the position that she’s in.”
Perhaps Kevin felt the need to speak up for Tiffany due to the fact that he has endured similar negativity from comedian Mike Epps.
Do you agree or disagree with Katt Williams comments?
