‘Mom I Think I Made It’ Octavia Spencer, Wendy Williams, Spike Lee, Dave Chappelle And 50 Cent Among 2020 Walk Of Fame Inductees
The 2020 class for the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been revealed and some of our faves made the cut!
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Walk of Fame Selection Committee announced the list Thursday.
Famed director Spike Lee who took home an Oscar this year for his Blackkk Klansman film was one of the most notable names announced.
Two-time Academy Award winner, Mahershala Ali, who won this year for his supporting role in Green Book will also be getting inducted next year.
Octavia Spencer continues to make major moves as she was also named as an honoree. Lee, Ali and Spencer are slated to be honored in the motion picture category with Julia Roberts, Chris Hemsworth, and Batman!
Thanks to her notable talk show, Wendy Williams will be inducted into the television category along with Terry Crews who stars in NBC’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Andy Cohen , and Christina Applegate.
Crews also shared his excitement about the honor on social media.
Funny guy Dave Chappelle’s stage work will be saluted next year as well amid reports he’s hitting Broadway next month. Actor Billy Porter will also receive the honor for the category.
50 Cent and Alicia Keys will be holding it down for the music category alongside Billy Idol and Tanya Tucker.
50 Cent had a few words for the honor on Instagram.
“man this is some cool s***, Mom, I think I made it. LOL”
Selection committee chair TV Producer Vin Di Bona (who received his Walk of Fame star in 2007) said,
“This year’s choices were particularly unique. We were able to recognize the talents of 35 artists who have already built a legacy here in Hollywood. Also, we were able to celebrate many new talented artists who’ve touched our hearts in film, television, radio and a variety of musical categories.”
