Carmelo Anthony FaceTimes With Son From Lala’s Phone After Making NBA History Against Bulls [VIDEO]
NBA vet, Carmelo Anthony recently made his well deserved return to the court, signing a non-guaranteed deal with the Portland Trail Blazers nearly two weeks ago. In the team’s road game against Carmelo’s former team, the Chicago Bulls on Monday (Nov. 25th), Melo took an unexpected Facetime call from his 12-year-old son, Kiyan. In a video, his wife actress, Lala Anthony made sure to hold the Facetime call in the direction of the 10-time NBA All-Star during a timeout. After taking a peek over to his wife, Melo gave his son the cutest mid-timeout salute.

As previously reported, Lala reacted to the news of Melo’s long awaited signing with Portland in a heartfelt post, sharing a photo with Kiyan and his Dad.
Following the Blazers‘ timeout, Melo went into his clutch mode, as the veteran power forward finished the game while snapping the Blazer’s four game losing streak with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists.
During Melo’s comeback victory, he received “Bring Back Melo” chants from his former team who never had the opportunity to see the NBA in action. Melo says,
“That support, that was the most important thing to hear that tonight. From fans, that’s Chicago Bulls fans, with me on a whole other team… Those fans didn’t have to do that.”

In his first 20+ point game of his season, Melo passed Alex English for 18th on the all-time NBA scoring list. He acknowledged his milestone performance stating:
“It’s a great night. I think, for me, it’s just taking it one day at a time. Today was being in the moment, being in the now and focusing on what we need to focus on, which was getting this win, and doing what I have to do my part to help this team win. And the ball went in tonight.”
