Vanessa Bryant Remembers Late Daughter Gianna On Her 14th Birthday: You Are A Part Of MY SOUL Forever

Friday (May 1) would have been the 14th birthday of Kobe Bryant and Vanessa Bryant’s daughter, Gianna Bryant, lovingly referred to as “GiGi” and “Mambacita.”

Fans of GiGi’s famous father, late NBA legend Kobe Bryant and celebrities have taken to social media to share their posthumous birthday wishes and continued support for the Bryant family. In January, both GiGi and her father along with seven others sadly passed away in a terrible helicopter crash in Calabasas, California.

Since then, Gianna Bryant was honored with a beautiful ceremony where her jersey was retired at her school and most recently, she and teammates Alyssa Altobelli and Peyton Chester were named as honorary draft picks in this year’s WNBA Draft.

Shaquille O’Neal’s daughter, Me’arah, shared her birthday with GiGi. Both she and her older brother Shareef, shared the following on Instagram:

Gigi’s mother, Vanessa Bryant, shared a sweet photo and a touching tribute to her daughter on Instagram.

She wrote,

“Happy 14th Birthday to my sweet baby girl, Gianna. Mommy loves you more than I can ever show you. You are part of MY SOUL forever. I miss you so much everyday. I wish I could wake up and have you here with me. I miss your smile, your hugs and your giggles. I miss EVERYTHING about YOU, Gigi. I LOVE YOU so much!!!!!!!”
