Former NBA player Delonte West has reportedly entered a Florida rehab facility, following being spotted, seemingly panhandling on the side of the road.
Dallas Mavericks owner, Mark Cuban says that he had reportedly been trying to reach Delonte West by phone for days. On Tuesday, September 29th new updates were posted on social media, about Delonte West‘s current whereabouts, stating that he agreed to enter into a facility in Florida.
“A Delonte West update, as people close to the ex-NBA player going through very difficult personal struggle continue to offer help: Sources say Mavs owner Mark Cuban reunited West with his mother in Dallas on Monday — and now West has checked into rehab facility in Florida.”

It was also reported that he reunited with his mother.
“Mark Cuban reached out to Delonte West’s mother, Delphina Addison, asking how he can help. Answer was simple: Find Delonte. Cuban did on Monday, waited with West until his mother arrived to hotel, and West finally took step many close to him have awaited: Entered rehab.”

This wasn’t the first time photos or footage were seen of Delonte West. Earlier this year, a video circulated on Twitter of a man being beaten up and a Twitter user confirmed the identity of the man, claiming West was a former classmate:
“Apparently Delonte West was seen getting beat up in the street this Morning. I went to school with him and it’s crazy to see just how his life has gone downhill since the NBA.”
According to reports, multiple parties including NBA Players Association, Clippers coach Doc Rivers, and former NBA baller Jameer Nelson have tried to contact him for months in hopes to help get him on the right track.
