T.I. Says There Will Be An ‘ATL’ Sequel Whenever Lauren London Is Ready, ‘She’s Been Going Through A Lot’
It’s been 14 years since the film ‘ATL‘ hit theaters, and fans are still inquiring about a sequel. Rapper/lead actor in the film, T.I. recently did an interview where he was asked if their would be a sequel to the popular film. When asked, he immediately answered,
“Whenever Lauren wanna do it, we doing it.– She’s been going though a lot and she’s been an exemplary example at strength, resilience, and evolution as a black woman. The last thing I want to do is bombard her with pre mature opportunities.”
He continued,
“ATL going to always be there. The legacy of ATL ain’t never going nowhere. Whether we do it today, or whether we do it tomorrow or next year. It’s still going to be there. And whenever she is ready to do it. I’m going to see to it that it gets done.”

Lauren London suffered a tragic loss when her boyfriend/rapper Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed on March 31, 2019 outside his store Marathon Clothing in South Los Angeles. Lauren and Nipsey had been together for five years and shared a son named Kross Ermias Asghedom.

ATL is a coming-of-age tale concerning Rashad, played by Atlanta native and hip hop artist T.I. in his film debut, and his friends in their final year in high school and on the verge of adulthood. Along with T.I, the film stars, Lauren London, Jackie Long, Evan Ross, Outkast member Big Boi, Michael T. “Mykelti” Williamson, and more. ATL premiered back in 2006 and still remains classic to this day.
