Chrisette Michele Celebrates Joe Biden Becoming The 46th President +Shares A Message To Her Critics
Chrisette Michele’s career took a big decline after she performed at Donald Trump’s Inaugural Ball in 2017. She received harsh criticism from not only her fans but other celebrities and was even labeled a sell-out by many. In addition to receiving backlash from fans, her music was no longer played on the radio and she lost an album distribution deal.
Since then, Chrisette Michele has publicly stated that she regrets performing at Trump’s Inaugural Ball. During a 2017 interview, Chrisette Michele said,
“I regret everything that happened. I think that was a bad choice. I knew that he wasn’t a good choice for the presidency…but there’s always got to be some sense of hope. That message on the stage was at the wrong time and the wrong place and I apologize deeply for the people that I hurt.”
Chrisette Michele recently shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram celebrating Joe Biden’s win in the 2020 Presidential Election and also had a message for some of her naysayers.
“I Still Sing… I never stopped. I must of had 1,000 dreams last night. Finally a hopeful shift. I know I’ve said it 1,000 times but I’ve never supported the darkness we saw in high places and I’m relieved it’s being forced away now. I know people will still be unreasonable. I know people still can’t hear or listen. If you’ve noticed, I’ve made peace with that. But today, I couldn’t help but sing. LOUD. Two brave people in the highest physical seat in America is a reason to celebrate. Biden & Harris are a reason to sing.”
She continued,
“Go ahead. Have a blast in the comments. Just know that I know we’ve still got a ways to go before we stop breaking each other down. I’ve got peace on the inside… and maybe I’ll find, soon, a little more peace in my country. I’m hopeful today. We voted SPIRITS out of the air and instructed ANGELS in their place.
Happiest Sunday.
