Bill Cosby Is Working On A TV Show After Pausing Comedy Tour Ahead Of Sexual Assault Trial
Bill Cosby is ready to get back into his TV bag. According to reports, well-known actor and comedian Bill Cosby has a television series in the works. A rep for Bill Cosby spoke on his current creative endeavor and shared that the’ Cosby Show’ actor has been
“spending time on the phone working on a number of projects.”
The rep continued,
“Things are happening. He’s working on a number of projects right now, a number of ideas for a TV show that has him on the phone with producers, working with guys every day.”
He explained,
“He’s giving his creative ideas and input.”
Details about Cosby’s upcoming show haven’t been released just yet. However, according to his spokesman, Cosby started speaking with producers about the project while he was still locked up behind bars at SCI Phoenix in Collegeville, Pa. He said,
“He’s been working on this particular project now for a year and a half. When he was a resident of SCI Phoenix he would have phone calls with producers.”

In addition to tv work, Cosby also has been busy writing his upcoming book. His rep shared,
“He’s on the phone almost every day for the book as well. He’s working. That’s why people don’t see him as much. When he was at SCI Phoenix it wasn’t our time so phone calls would be probably two, three times a week for that kind of stuff. Now he has the time. He can speak freely when he wants to. That’s his primary focus since he’s gotten out – to come out and be able to have projects and to work with people who want to work with him.”

As previously reported, Cosby had plans of doing a comedy tour as well but the 84-year-old entertainer recently placed those plans on hold due to some pending legal issues. Cosby is facing sexual assault allegations from a woman named Judy Huth. In 2014, Judy Huth filed a lawsuit against Cosby claiming he assaulted her in 1974, she was 15 at the time and he was 37.
According to reports, the comedy tour was indefinitely placed on hold because Cosby’s team wants to avoid the potential risk of anything he says jokingly on stage being used against him in a court of law.
Bill Cosby has always denied Judy Huth’s claims and the suit was paused while Cosby dealt with a different sexual assault case. However, a trial date has reportedly been set for Springtime next year.
