Ne-Yo’s Estranged Wife Crystal Renay Speaks Out Amid Filing For Divorce, Says Certain Things Can’t Be Forgiven & There’s No Chance They Will Reconcile
It seems as though Ne-Yo’s and Crystal Renay have decided to call it quits, officially.
In a recent interview, Crystal Renay spoke out for the first time after filing for divorce from singer Ne-Yo following his alleged infidelity. Crystal Renay was asked if there was any hope to build back her marriage, she replied:
“There are no chances, God is good. We are moving on to better lives.”
Renay continued:
“Certain things can’t be forgiven, but God will forgive, and one day so will I. The Christian me has to one day, but I am okay.”
Renay shared if she would be going back to dating soon. She admitted:
“I mean, only God knows.”
Ne-Yo and Renay have been married since February 2016. The ex couple share three children together, Isabella Rose, 14 months old, Roman Alexander-Raj, 4, and Shaffer Chimere Jr., 6.
As previously reported, Renay publicly accused the “So Sick” singer of cheating and filed for divorce earlier this month. She claimed that their marriage is
“irretrievably broken with no hope for reconciliation.”
Divorce documents state that Renay alleged the 42-year-old practiced infidelity and recently fathered a child with another woman.
The song-writer’s wife said since their separation, she has been taking care of their three children and plans to seek primary physical custody, joint legal custody, along with child support and alimony.
In a since-deleted post, Renay took to Instagram to share her thoughts regarding Ne-Yo, born Shaffer Chimere Smith, being unfaithful. Renay wrote:
“Eight years. 8 years of lies and deception.”
Renay continued:
“Eight years of unknowingly sharing my life and my husband with numerous women who sell their bodies to him unprotected…every last one of them!”
Renay shared:
“To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is a[n] understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcissist. I will no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is something it isn’t. I choose me, I choose my happiness and health and my respect.”
She added:
“I gained three beautiful children out of this, but nothing else but wasted years and heartache.”
Renay then asked fans to refrain from sending her proof of Ne-Yo’s unfaithfulness in her social media post. On Sunday (July 31), Ne-Yo took to Twitter to respond to his estranged wife. He said:
“For the sake of our children, my family and I will work through our challenges behind closed doors. Personal matters are not meant to be addressed and dissected in public forums.”
Ne-Yo added:
“I simply ask that you please respect me and my family’s privacy at this time.”
