Shaquille O’Neal Lands New HBO Documentary Series ‘SHAQ’ Highlighting His Life & NBA Career

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has landed a new HBO documentary series!

According to reports, the four-part docuseries titled ‘SHAQ’ will premiere on Nov. 23 and will chronicle his rise to NBA superstardom, as well as his life behind closed doors.

The four-time NBA champion said the process of making this documentary allowed him “to reflect publicly in a way” he never has before.

‘SHAQ’ will also offer fans insight into O’Neal’s upbringing in a military family, his extensive business ventures, and his life as a broadcaster.

Shaquille O’Neal, who is worth nearly $400 million, has earned respect for his business acumen and remaining successful years after retiring. The sports analyst currently owns 175 restaurants including Big Chicken and Five Guys Burgers. Additionally, he has 150 car washes, 40 fitness centers, a movie theater, a shopping mall, and several nightclubs in Vegas. Furthermore, he is an investor in several businesses such as Papa John’s, Krispy Kreme, and Authentic Brand Group.

The series includes new interviews with Dwyane Wade, Derek Fisher, Jerry West, and Phil Jackson, among other former colleagues of Shaq.

Family members featured in the series include O’Neal’s mother Dr. Lucille O’Neal, siblings Jamal and Lateefah Harrison, and three of his children — Taahirah, Shareef, and Myles.

An exclusive clip from the documentary debuted Thursday night (Oct. 20) during the NBA games on TNT.

‘SHAQ’ will officially premiere Wednesday, November 23 at 9 p.m., with episodes releasing on the following Wednesdays on HBO and HBO Max.
