Deshaun Watson — 10 Sexual Misconduct Accusers Will Attend Quarterback’s First Game Post-Suspension: You Think You Put Us Behind You, But We Are Still Here

“I will be there [with bells and whistles on] to welcome Deshaun back to Houston.”

Tony Buzbee noted that all of his clients were invited to the game, but some of the declined.

In response to why they’d watch their accuser play, the attorney said:

“You think you put us behind you, but we are still here.”

Twenty-five lawsuits have been brought against Deshaun Watson since March 2021, alleging sexual assault and other inappropriate conduct during massage sessions. According to Buzbee, 20 suits have been settled.

While he was never charged criminally, Deshaun Watson hasn’t been part of the NFL action since Jan. 3, 2021.

Watson was first given a six-game suspension on Aug. 1. However, after numerous people expressed their displeasure with retired federal judge Sue Robinson’s seemingly “light” sentence, the National Football League decided to appeal the ruling.

The NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy was invoked by commissioner Roger Goodell, who designated Peter Harvey, a former attorney general of New Jersey, to hear the appeal.

Watson, who in March signed a five-year, $230 million guaranteed contract with the Browns despite the allegations, has repeatedly refuted them. According to the multiple allegations, the professional athlete masturbated in front of the women, ejaculated on them, and positioned himself during a massage so the masseuse would touch his groin area. Reports claim 66 massage therapists’ appointments were made by Watson during a 17-month period.

As a result of Watson‘s alleged sexual misconduct, he ultimately received an 11-game suspension and a $5 million fine.

In a statement, Watson previously said,

“I’m grateful that the disciplinary process has ended and extremely appreciative of the tremendous support I have received throughout my short time with the Browns organization. I apologize once again for any pain this situation has caused. I take accountability for the decisions I made.”
