Kelis Said To Be The One Who Ended Alleged Romance w/ Actor Bill Murray, Sources Claim Their Relationship ‘Just Ran Its Course’

Rumored lovebirds Kelis and Bill Murray just might be a thing of the past!

According to insiders, after merely a two-month courtship, singer Kelis and her 72-year-old actor bae, Bill Murray, are a done deal.

If you didn’t know, in June of this year, speculation that 44-year-old Kelis and ‘Ghostbusters’ star Bill Murray were dating lit up the internet streets after someone (allegedly) spotted them in London together.

Supposedly, an unidentified attendee saw a supportive Murray on the sidelines of one of Kelis’ performances, and they were later caught entering the same hotel.

Individuals familiar with the then-blossoming love connection claimed the two first met in the States and grew a bond after the tragic loss of Kelis’ husband, Mike Mora, in 2022. Murray had just lost his estranged wife, costume designer Jennifer Butler, the year before.

There was no official confirmation of an actual (solid) relationship between Murray and Kelis, but it did seem as if they were kicking it… at least. A friend said,

“Whatever it is that has brought them together, and however unlikely it seems, they are both single and are having fun despite the fairly big age gap.”

Additionally, amid the duration of the pair’s “whirlwind affair,” a fan asked Kelis if she’d “care to address” the allegations online, and she replied with a tight-lipped response:

“Lol no babe, I wouldn’t bother at all.”

However, at this point, there’s (seemingly) no need to, especially since it’s suspected that Kelis and Murray called it quits not too long ago.

But… although sparks may no longer be flying, sources have assured that a friendship still remains. The breakup was said to have been due to the songstress and Hollywood icon’s conflicting work lives.

The person offered,

“Kelis and Bill were–and still are–very fond of each other, but things just ran their course. They both have busy schedules and after a whirlwind romance decided to do their separate ways.”

They added:

“They hope to remain friends but also plan to get on with their lives.”

Reportedly, Kelis also denied having ever dated Murray to another user on Instagram recently.

Murray doesn’t appear to be active on any social media sites, so it looks like we’ll have to wait until his next interview to hear his side of things.
