NFL Star Saquon Barkley Defends Recent Golf Link-Up w/ Donald Trump: ‘I Just Respect The Office’
Saquon Barkley wants ya’ll to get out of his mentions “with all this politics.”
The Philadelphia Eagles running back fired off on X this morning in response to the backlash he’s receiving for hanging with President Trump. Addressing those who took issue with his outing with the controversial figure, Saquon wrote,
“lol some people are really upset cause I played golfed and flew to the White House with the PRESIDENT. Maybe I just respect the office, not a hard concept to understand. Just golfed with Obama not too long ago…and look forward to finishing my round with Trump ! Now ya get out my mentions with all this politics and have amazing day”

Saquon spent Sunday (April 27) playing golf with Trump in New Jersey ahead of the team’s official visit to the White House, scheduled for today, for winning the Super Bowl. The two men golfed at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey, then Saquon traveled with Trump to Washington, D.C.
Saquon’s stance is a stark difference from his teammate Jalen Hurts, who only said “umm” when recently asked if he was visiting the White House with his team. It’s still unclear if he will be in attendance today.
Can you separate the politics from the politician? Or did Saquon Barkley show his hand by hanging out with Donald Trump?
