Shedeur Sanders Fan Sues NFL For $100 Million, Claims Draft Drama Caused ‘Emotional Distress’
A fan is suing the NFL for $100 million, claiming the league rigged the draft against Shedeur Sanders and caused him emotional trauma.
Filed under the name “John Doe” in federal court in Georgia, the lawsuit accuses the NFL and its affiliates of damaging Shedeur Sanders’ reputation and intentionally pushing him down in the 2025 draft. He was projected to go in the first round but was picked 144th by the Cleveland Browns.
Doe claims slander and leaked statements influenced the decision. He accuses the NFL of violating the Antitrust Act, the Civil Rights Act, and consumer protection laws, creating an unfair and biased draft process that caused him emotional distress.
He’s asking for money, a public apology, and changes to how the league handles the draft.
The NFL has not responded.
