Marcus Morris’ Family Responds After NBA Star’s Arrest: They Got Y’all Really Thinking Bro Did Some Fraud Sh*t’
Marcus Morris was arrested over the weekend, but his family says the fraud charge isn’t what it seems.
According to TMZ, the NBA player was arrested at an airport in Florida on Sunday (July 27) for fraud. However, his twin brother Markieff Morris is calling foul on how it all went down.
“The wording is crazy,” Markieff wrote on X. “D*mn, for that amount of money they’ll embarrass you in the airport with your family. They got y’all really thinking bro did some fraud sh*t. They could have come to the crib for all that… Bro will tell y’all tomorrow.”

Business manager Yony Noy also addressed the arrest online and claimed there was no fraud involved: “Just so everyone understands, this is zero fraud here or whatever crap outlets have said regarding fake checks or whatever the hell. This is due to an outstanding marker with a casino… Apparently, if you owe over $1,200, they can issue a warrant for your arrest. Absolute insanity!”
As of now, Marcus hasn’t spoken publicly about the incident.
