Kodak Black Enters Guilty Plea For First-Degree Assault and Battery Charges, Will Not Face Jail Time
Kodak Black (born Bill Kapri) has only been out of jail for a few months, but he already has another charge on his record.
As previously reported, former U.S. President Donald Trump pardoned Kodak Black during his last day in office, successfully releasing the rapper from Miami Federal Detention Center on January 20th, 2021.

Kodak Black was sentenced to 46 months in jail back in November 2019 for falsifying background check forms in order to purchase weapons. Kodak had been in custody since that May. In total, the Florida rapper was behind bars for about 20 months.
However, while pardoned for his weapons charges, Kodak was not yet in the clear in terms of his legal troubles. Before his weapons arrest and incarceration, allegations of the rapper sexually assaulting a teenager had already been circulating. The incident took place back in 2016 after a concert in Florence, South Carolina. The victim allegedly reported the crime to the nurse at her high school.
While Kodak was originally charged with first-degree sexual misconduct, he has pleaded guilty to first-degree assault and battery. Per the conditions of the plea agreement, he has to take responsibility for the crime by way of a public apology to the victim. Kodak also has to undergo counseling.
The “Roll In Peace” rapper received 18 months of probation, as well as a suspended 10-year sentence (essentially a prolonged probationary period). He will not face any jail time.
