‘A Black Lady Sketch Show’ Comedy Series Renewed For Season 4
HBO’s “A Black Lady Sketch Show” is making a return for another season!
On Thursday (June 2), the network announced the television sketch comedy series has been renewed for a fourth season. Comedian Robin Thede, 42, created the series, in addition to writing, starring, and serving as an executive producer for the project. Other stars of the hit series include Gabrielle Dennis, 40, Ashley Nicole Black, 36, and Skye Townsend, 28. Amy Gravitt, EVP of HBO Programming said in a statement,
“Robin, Gabrielle, Ashley, and Skye brought so much life to each character they portrayed in every sketch. We’re beyond excited to explore even more comedic worlds with a fourth season of A Black Lady Sketch Show.”
Earlier today (June 2), Robin Thede took to Instagram to share the exciting news with fans in a post. She wrote,
“What’s better than 3 seasons of #ABLSS? How about 4 SEASONS! That’s right, @ablackladysketchshow has been officially renewed for Season 4! #ablackladysketchshow”
The Emmy-winning comedy series debuted on August 2, 2019, and wrapped up its third season on May 13. The series features a leading cast of Black women with funny, relatable experiences while touching on topics such as anxiety, religion, sex, dating, and relationships. Each episode consists of five to six sketches and features guest stars. “A Black Lady Sketch Show” is available to stream on HBO Max.
