Love Don’t Live Here Anymore: Paula Patton & Robin Thicke File For Separation
Sad new for one of our favorite Hollywood couples.
On Monday, actress Paula Patton (38) and singer Robin Thicke (36) announced that they have filed for separation. In a statement released to PEOPLE the couple released a statement stating:
We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.
The pair, who first met when Thicke was 14, have been married since 2005 and share a three year old son named Julian. Last year, during his Next Chapter sit-down with Oprah, he explained how he and Paula have been able to make their relationship last in Hollywood, explaining:
He also explained the photo of him circulating at the time of him gripping a woman’s booty in a night club.
Yes, yes, well…maybe some trick photography was involved there…Let’s just say it 3:30 in the morning…it was a joke that got filmed….Yes, it’s never easy once it’s in the press….I think that’s what you hafta deal with in the celebrity type marriage…Let’s just say everyone had a good time that night.
The couple has not elaborated on what led to their separation, but for the last year, the R&B crooner has been plagued with UNCONFIRMED rumors that suggest he is not faithful in his marriage. We wish these two the best!
