Carl Crawford Sued For $1 Million By Mother Of Child Who Drowned At His Home

His legal battle with Megan Thee Stallion isn’t the only lawsuit former MLB’er Carl Crawford is facing. Carl Crawford is being sued for the drowning incident that took place at his home last month. In what was said to have been a small gathering at his home, a five-year-old boy and an adult woman died when the little boy fell into the pool. An adult female partygoer dove into the pool in an attempt to save him. They both later died at a nearby hospital.

However, Liban Hersi is holding Carl Crawford solely responsible for the incident. She says that her five-year-old son who suffered the drowning wasn’t properly protected. Liban says that Carl’s massive pool had no fencing or alarm systems. Her court docs, obtained by TMZ, describe the pool’s design as:

“…unreasonably dangerous.”

Weeks after the incident, Carl issued this statement:

“My hearts heavy. The tragic events that occurred at my home will be with me forever. I’m at a loss for words. I’ve struggled all week to manage my emotions and I keep thinking of the families of those who’ve passed and their grief, I know they have it the hardest. They are the first and last thing I think of these days. Please keep them in your prayers, I know they will always be in mine.”

Liban Hersi is seeking $1 million in her lawsuit against Carl Crawford.

At the same time, Megan Thee Stallion is suing him for the same amount in an attempt to renegotiate her contract with his 1501 Certified record label.
