Fashion Designer Kerby Jean-Raymond Denies Copying Kanye West’s Yeezy Designs
Fashion designer Kerby Jean-Raymond is setting the record straight and letting it be known that he did not copy his designs from Kanye West. Kerby Jean-Raymond, who is the owner of the famous menswear label Pyer Moss, recently found himself in the hot seat when people were accusing him of copying one of Kanye West’s upcoming shoe designs. On August 8th Kanye West shared an image to Twitter of his new shoe project.
Critics online noted some similarities between Kanye’s design and color scheme and shoe designs from Kerby Jean-Raymond.

Kerby Jean-Raymond wasted no time in setting the critics straight. He took to his Instagram stories to clear up everything and wrote,
“You know for good measure before the “kids” start saying we copied something we designed over two years ago.”

Kerby Jean-Raymond then shared a photo of his design which is dated back to June 19, 2018.

He also had some fun and trolled Kanye West a little by calling his own design ‘Democrats’.

And referring to Kanye West’s shoe design as ‘Republicans’.

Kerby Jean-Raymond then took the time to share a more in-depth statement to his stories and said,
“I’m honestly just laughing on this side. If you been here a while then you know my humor. I honestly don’t care that much but you gotta educate the ‘you copied Kanye’ crowd sometimes and let them know some people been here grinding long too. Erasure ain’t fun.”
He continued:
“All love to his team and him. I’m here for all the jokes, even the ones on me. We need some more sh*t to laugh at in this house. I ain’t taking sh*t down tho.”

Do you think Kerby Jean-Raymond’s designs look like Kanye’s? Let us know in the comments.
