Niecy Nash & Her Wife Went On A Double Date With Da Brat & Girlfriend Jessica Dupart

Love is definitely in the air! Newlyweds Niecy Nash and Jessica Betts recently had a double date with Rapper/radio host Da Brat and her fiancé Jessica Dupart. Actress Niecy Nash took to her Instagram and shared a photo of the four hanging out and captioned the post,

“LOVE WINS. Sharing energy w/ @jessicabettsmusic @darealbbjudy @sosobrat”

Both couples have recently been a hot topic of conversation. Niecy Nash shocked fans back in September when she revealed that she married singer Jessica Betts. The marriage comes less than a year after her divorce from ex-husband Jay Tucker.

Jessica Betts and Niecy Nash met more than four years ago but didn’t become close until Jessica was featured on Niecy Nash’s TV series, Claws, in 2018. In a recent interview, Niecy spoke on the reactions she received after marrying a woman.

“I was asked, ‘Is this your official coming out?’ and I was like, ‘Coming out from where?’ I wasn’t anywhere to come out of.  I never lived a sexually repressed life. I just love who I love when I love them.”

Da Brat and her fiancé, entrepreneur Jessica Dupart celebrated their 1 year anniversary in July. This love story started when Da Brat’s sister, actress LisaRaye McCoy, introduced them. LisaRaye McCoy previously said of Jesseca Dupart:

“I met her before she even met my sister. She and I were doing some videos for her Kaleidoscope products because she was actually a fan. So we reenacted a ‘Player’s Club’ scene and did a couple of videos together. So when she reached out to have my sister try her [haircare miracle] drops, then they actually made a rapport with each other and built a friendship. What came out of that is what we see on Instagram now.”

On their 1 year anniversary, Jessica Dupart shared a heartwarming message on her Instagram:

“1 year ago today we became US, flirted back and forth off n on for about a year before that, and were friends for like a year before that. Never would I have expected such a blessing in you. The kindest , mildest , most considerate , pay attention to every detail , inspiring person I know. Your LOVE is like no other. I LOVE U LIKE I NEVER EVER LOVED BEFORE , it feels unreal sometimes @sosobrat HAPPY ANNIVERSARY…cheers to spending the rest of our lives together”

Da Brat has always been private about her love life. Rumors about her sexuality have been a topic of speculation for many years. It has only been recently, that the rapper has spoken out and been more open about her love life. She recently explained that her mom wasn’t necessarily supportive of her lifestyle.

“Yeah, my mom is not, like, jumping for joy, she’s not going to condone it, but she loves me unconditionally. No one in my family has said anything bad or degrading.”
