The two faced off on Saturday, November 28th in the boxing ring, and Nate Robinson was knocked out in the second round. The NBA veteran posted about his defeat on Instagram the day after, saying:
“Thank you everyone for all of the well wishes, I’m OK. I appreciate @triller for the opportunity as well as everyone that has backed me during the fight. To my coaches, trainers, fans, and teammates, I appreciate all of the time and support you guys put in with me…it wasn’t the outcome that we wanted, but I’m thankful for the opportunity to fight on the biggest stage that there has been. #holdat”

After the fight, Jake Paul also posted his own message on Instagram under a picture of Robinson on the ground after his knockout with the caption:
“It is what it is”

Not even 24 hours after the defeat, people flocked to social media and started the #NateRobinsonChallenge posting pictures of them laying face down to mock the knockout.

Paul was no stranger to the boxing ring, making his pro debut in January 2020 and getting a knockout victory as well. This was Robinson’s first professional fight. Paul told the media earlier in the week before the fight:
“I’ve been dedicating my life to boxing and on November 28, live on pay per view they’re going to see Nate Robinson fall to the ground.”

In the first round, Paul dealt a heavy blow knocking Robinson to the ground with a strong right hook.
In the second round, Paul knocked Robinson to the ground a second time, before a third and final punch took him out of the fight with a knockout in round two.
