Tory Lanez Announces Plans To Executive Produce His Alleged Girlfriend Iggy Azalea’s Upcoming Album: This Is Going To Be Fun

Tory Lanez and Iggy Azalea may not be addressing the romance rumors, but he has confirmed that he’s executive producing her next album.

The two have reportedly been dating for months, and Tory Lanez expressed his apparent excitement about producing her album in a tweet on Friday (October 7).

“The first FEMALE URBAN ALBUM i will EXECUTIVE PRODUCE will be @IGGYAZALEA Next Album !!! I’ve been wanting to E.P a FEMALE ARTIST ALBUM for a while. I want to RAISE THE BAR .. On the BEATS, PRODUCTION & OVERALL EXPERIENCE of FEMALE ALBUMS … this is going to be fun.”

In response to why he chose to executive produce her album, he said,

“She has 65 MILLION RECORDS SOLD …. COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT ….. And went DIAMOND CERTIFIED with her FIRST RECORD …… WHY NOT IGGY ?”

As previously reported, Iggy Azaela and Tory Lanez initially fueled romance rumors throughout the summer. Then, she gave him a cake as a surprise earlier this month to mark the debut of his album Sorry 4 What. A video post showed a cake in the form of a Merlot bottle, grapes and a corkscrew. The Canadian rapper wrote,

“Thank you baby girl @thenewclassic,”

tagging the Australian rapper’s Instagram handle.

They were spotted partying at a club together on Sunday (October 2). In the video, Tory is seen dancing by himself just feet away from Iggy Azalea as she twerks on another woman.

The news that’s executive producing her album comes not long after Iggy Azalea declared she was abandoning her retirement and releasing a new album on her own independent label, Bad Dreams. In August, she said,

“A year ago I was willing to walk away from music because I was tired of the negative energy it attracted. But what I’ve learned is that even when I’m minding my business, y’all gonna be negative AND nosey. So if I can’t have peace, neither can you. I’m coming back. Cry about it.”

Neither party has addressed the romance rumors. If the pair are indeed dating, this would be Iggy’s first public relationship since splitting from rapper Playboi Carti, whom she shares her only child, a son named Onyx, with.

Iggy’s upcoming project will be the first she’s released since 2021’s The End of an Era.
