Drake — Rapper’s Alleged Ghostwriter Quentin Miller Claims He ‘Never Got A Publishing Check’ For Any Of His Work W/ The Rapper

The man who was outed for allegedly ghostwriting for Drake (real name Aubrey Graham), claims to have never seen a dime for his contributions — or any other work he’s put in.

While Drake‘s career hasn’t suffered at all from the allegations, Quentin Miller is still widely recognized for his part in the incident, which also involved Meek Mill.

Miller discussed Meek Mill being “inconsiderate” during an interview with VladTV, where he also admitted that because of the lousy publishing agreement he signed at the time, he never received compensation for his work with Drake.

Miller said,

“It was like I didn’t matter. Like, f*ck this guy. Even with Drama and them, you know, like, throwing my whole life on the backburner. Just to get at a n***a, like, but what about me? What about me taking care of my family and the fact that I put my whole life into this s*it.”

He added,

“I’m workin’ with a n***a that, literally, was about to change my life, you know? Even though, you know, I was in my horrible, horrible, horrible publishing situation with Tricky [Stewart]. So, I never got a publishing check off of any Drake songs.”

As previously reported, Drake and Meek Mill‘s beef dates back to 2015 when the “Dreams & Nightmares” rapper accused Drake of using a ghostwriter on their collaboration “R.I.C.O.” Their feud escalated when Drake released his Beyoncé-inspired mixtape If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late, which is when Meek named Miller as the ghostwriter.

Miller went on to claim that the rappers’ beef ruined his career — which is likely why he felt slighted that Meek and Drake made amends.

He said,

“A lot of people been congratulating me and sending me messages about the five-year anniversary of ‘If You’re Reading This…’ and sh*t. And I look on socials and I see producers and other people that were involved with the artist, and they get to talk about how proud they are of the sh*t. And, it’s different for me, you know. It’s pretty much taboo for me to even talk about it. I pretty much try to act like it doesn’t even exist- the biggest sh*t of my entire career, right?”

Miller added,

“In the end, that n*gga Drake and Meek- them n*ggas is best friends now. They watch basketball games and do shows and sh*t together now, you know?…five years later I’m still trying to shake that sh*t…Everyone wanna kick me to the curb, man. F*ck that sh*t, give me the opportunity, man.”

Miller told VLAD in 2016 that Meek and his crew jumped him in a Beverly Hills Nike store because he refused to get on camera and admit to being the man behind the “God’s Plan” artist’s ghostwriter. At the time, Miller said,

“I shed blood in the Nike store.”

He added,

“I’m not a street ni**a so you can have it. You can have the tough title – that doesn’t do anything for me.”

Meek denied that he and his team were involved in the altercation, noting that there was no photographic evidence even though it supposedly happened in a high-traffic location.
