Shaquille O’Neal Signs LSU Star Angel Reese To Historic NIL Deal w/ Reebok
Angel Reese has signed an endorsement deal with Reebok, thanks to Shaquille O’Neal.
According to reports, footwear/clothing brand Reebok plans to make a comeback in the sports world with the re-launch of its Basketball category next year. To kick things off, the company has signed Louisiana State University star Angel Reese to a multi-year name, image, and likeness deal (NIL).
The LSU center made history as the brand’s first signee under its recently crowned president of the Rebook basketball division, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal. While speaking on bringing Angel Reese into the Rebook family, he said,
“For my first appointment in this role, it had to be the GOAT. There is no one making a bigger impact on the game right now than Angel Reese.”
Reportedly, the athlete’s NIL partnership will include products on the company’s website labeled as “Angel’s Picks.” She’s also gearing up to release her own collection, which is set to launch in the Fall/Winter 2024 season.
Reese said about the exciting news,
“I am honored to be working closely with one of my longtime mentors, Shaq, along with a brand that I have admired since I was just a little kid. It means the world to me that they trust in me to extend their legacy to a new generation.”
Additionally, Reebok and Reese will reportedly collaborate on efforts to provide resources and access to sports for young girls as part of her Angel C Reese Foundation.
Shaquille O’Neal took to his Instagram yesterday (Oct. 17) to congratulate Reese on her deal. He wrote,
“congratulations @angelreese10 #geauxtigers @reebok”
In another post, the professional former basketball player said,
