Justin Bieber Criticized For Using Martin Luther King, Jr. Clips On New Album, Bernice King Shows Support
Justin Bieber’s nod to late Civil Rights icon Martin Luther King, Jr. lead to lots of criticism for the singer.
He released an album Justice Friday (March 19th) and the first voice heard on it is none other than Martin Luther King, Jr., stating the quote:
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
It comes just before the song 2 Much.

The album also features a song called MLK Interlude.
Fans reacted on Twitter after the album dropped.

One fan also pointed out that he credited MLK as a writer.

While fans took issue with it, MLK’s daughter Bernice King supported Justin Bieber on Twitter. She responded to his tweet for a campaign to support organizations that promote justice. Bernice King wrote,
“Each of us, including artists and entertainers, can do something. Thank you, @justinbieber, for your support, in honor of #Justice, of @TheKingCenter’s work and of our #BeLove campaign, which is a part of our global movement for justice. #MLK #EndRacism“
