Jason Momoa Tests Positive For COVID While Filming ‘Aquaman’ Sequel In England, Source Says He Is ‘Fine & Now Isolating’
Jason Momoa is currently recovering from coronavirus while working overseas.
This past Wednesday (Oct. 27th), news broke that Jason Momoa recently contracted COVID-19 while working in Hertfordshire, England. Specifically, the actor tested positive for coronavirus while filming the upcoming Aquaman sequel–Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The movie is slated for release on Dec. 16th, 2022.
Since testing positive, Jason Momoa is in isolation to help protect others on set. One source close to the situation revealed:
“Jason is fine luckily and is now isolating after getting a positive test. But it’s a real headache for the film’s bosses, who are now worrying about having to delay their tight filming schedule. Of course, the safety of everyone working on the film is the most important thing and everyone is tested regularly. They are hoping this is a one-off and that they can work around Jason and continue filming on the production. Everyone is wishing him a speedy recovery and they’re looking forward to having him back on set.”

This news comes about one week after Jason Momoa dished on how reprising his role as Aquaman has grown tougher with age. The 42-year-old actor stated:
“I’m getting old. I messed up my eyes–I just got something in it that kind of cut it up. And then I’ve got to get surgery, I have a hernia, I’ve got ribs out. I’m just getting beat up… I’m an ageing superhero right now.”
We wish Jason Momoa a full, speedy recovery from COVID-19!
