Update: (Jul. 24, 2023): DJ Mustard scored a significant win in his ongoing divorce battle with Chanel Thierry.

As previously reported, Chanel was seeking $80,000 per month in child support from her famous ex in order to ensure that their three children’s lifestyles maintained the same at both residences. Amid the former couple’s legal back and forth, Chanel claimed that despite DJ Mustard’s motion to have payments set at $23,000, he can provide more financial assistance for their children as he often brags about his lavish lifestyle on social media.

However, it looks like a judge has sided with the record producer. He’s reportedly been ordered to shell out $24,500 a month in child support payments. Spousal support for Chanel has been settled with a one-time payment of $315,000.

In addition, the court ruled that DJ Mustard could keep all of his assets, including cars, properties, jewelry, and music royalties, according to reports.

Despite all of this, it’s still unclear when their divorce will officially be finalized. However, the music professional recently filed a request for a status judgment, which would allow him and Chanel to have a single marital status as they continue to work through their separation.

According to RadarOnline, the award-winning producer’s estranged wife, Chanel Thierry, submitted an emotional statement as part of her request for $80,000 per month in child support, claiming that despite begging for payments to be limited to $23,000, her ex is still living the high life.

In her declaration, Chanel Thierry claimed that DJ Mustard refused to “co-parent” with her or communicate with her civilly in front of their children.

She added,

“His home includes multiple assistants and various wardrobe stylist and hair stylist that my children and I used to benefit from, a private basketball court, a pool, gym, and home garden that we built in which our kids enjoy.”

She also said that two months after leaving, DJ Mustard took the family vehicle, a Cadillac Escalade, forcing her to drive her Lamborghini truck, which is highly uncomfortable and inappropriate because the back seats are unsuitable for their sons’ car seats.

Lastly, she stated that while Mustard disputes her request for financial aid, he brags about his spending on social media, including showing off a special pair of Nike sneakers that he wore, which are currently up for auction for around $200,000.

Chanel Thierry asserted all of this in an effort to persuade the judge to grant her the $80,000 to guarantee their three children’s lifestyles are maintained at both residences.

DJ Mustard filed for divorce in 2022, citing irreconcilable differences. At the time, Chanel Thierry remarked,

“I found out [Mustard] filed for divorce via social media out of nowhere. Not one argument or disagreement was had leading up to this. [Mustard] insisted I leave the family home and start over.”

She continued,

“I only took my belongings with me. No furniture, and no toys for the children or book were taken when I moved out.”

She said her soon-to-be ex-husband offered to cover her rent for six months. However,

“Support was only given to me to cover the first six months, but I never saw the money. [Mustard] paid the money to my landlord so I couldn’t use any of the money for anything outside of that.”

Regardless, Mustard wants a judge to uphold a signed prenuptial agreement.
