Gervonta Davis Extends Undefeated Lightweight Title To 29 – 0 Following Eighth Round Win Against Frank Martin
Boxing star Gervonta Davis remains an undefeated lightweight champion!
The 29-year-old secured his 29th consecutive win over the weekend, defeating his previously undefeated counterpart Frank Martin.
Both Gervonta Davis and Frank Martin, 29, wowed during their highly anticipated match, held at the MGM Grand Las Vegas this past Saturday (June 15th). Though Frank Martin reportedly started off strong and confidently in the first half of the fight, winning some of the early rounds, Gervonta Davis‘ stamina proved to be more than his fellow Baltimore native could handle.

Davis cemented his growing legacy in the eighth round, winning with a left uppercut – straight left assault that left Martin down for the 10-count. The victory reportedly increased Davis‘ KO wins to 27, while Martin’s previously undefeated record fell to 18-1.

Davis‘ advance over Martin was even more impressive, seeing as though the boxer is coming off a 14-month hiatus. Speculations about who the champion athlete could be fighting next have been floating around since his latest triumph, with some calling for ‘The Tank’ to take on Teofimo Lopez or Shakur Stevenson, with many showing their support for the latter.

After one boxing professional tossed out the idea on X (formerly Twitter), many users chimed in showing interest in a potential fight, sharing their thoughts on who may win.
