Kandi Burruss On Possible Return To ‘RHOA’: ‘I Don’t See It In My Future’

All bets are off if you think Kandi Burruss will reclaim her spot on the reality TV show ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ anytime soon.

On the red carpet pre-show for the 2024 People’s Choice Awards on Sunday (Feb. 19), the Xscape singer admitted,

“I have a lot of love for my Bravo family, so there are other things I will be a part of going forward. I mean, I don’t want to say never. Never say never, right? But right now, I just have a lot of things I’m going after. I don’t see it in my future.”

Kandi Burruss added, 

“This is kind of crazy but cool that my last year I said I was going to be a ‘Real Housewife’, I’m nominated as best reality star. So I guess that’s a great way to go out.”

While at the Grammy Awards earlier this month, Kandi Burruss, who first joined ‘RHOA’ in its sophomore season, revealed she’s not returning to the Bravo reality show after 14 seasons.

Following the announcement, Cynthia Bailey said Kandi Burruss’s departure might be a good time for Phaedra Parks to return.

Cynthia Bailey said, 

“Kandi and Phaedra had their thing. That has nothing to do with me, but if Kandi is not there and they feel like, you know, it’s time for Phaedra to come back, that’s a conversation between Phaedra and the network.”

Longtime viewers of the series, which debuted in 2008, are familiar with the fallout between Burruss and Phaedra Parks that aired during the ninth season.

It began after Phaedra Parks instigated a rumor suggesting Kandi and her husband, Todd Tucker, wanted to drug and sexually assault Porsha Williams, who has since left the reality TV series.

During the reunion, Porsha Williams Goubadia revealed that Phaedra was the source of the rumor. After the incident, Bravo reportedly fired Phaedra in April 2017.

Speaking of Porsha Williams Goubadia, she’s making a grand return to ‘RHOA.’

Porsha Williams Guobadia also shared the news in a video on her Instagram account. In the clip, she said, 

“Who said that?”

She added, 

“Porsha Williams coming back to ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’? That’s false. But Porsha Guobadia is in the building. Haha, see ya, mwah!” 

Porsha captioned her video, “Season 16 Lets Gooooo #Rhoa Are y’all READY?!,” adding several emoji, including a crown of jewels.

Porsha initially exited ‘RHOA’ in 2021 after nine seasons and also recently signed an overall scripted deal with Bravo’s parent company, NBCUniversal.
