Taylor Swift Tops Highest Paid List Of Celebs w/ $185 Million, Kylie Jenner & Kanye Land #2 & #3 Spot
Taylor Swift, Kylie Jenner, and Kanye West are currently the highest-paid celebrities right now…in that order. Forbes revealed the news Tuesday morning with its infamous list, sharing profits celebrities have made this year as of July 9.
Swift tops the list with $185 million in the musicians category. Her Reputation tour grossed $266.1 millionl ast year, making it the highest-grossing tour in the U.S. ever. Plus, she left Big Machine Records and went to Universal Public Records. In that negotiation, Universal was ordered to share money from the selling its $1 billion stake with its artists.
Jenner is close behind with $170 million in the personalities category. Her real-time net worth is $1 billion. She was named the youngest self-made billionaire last year thanks to her beauty brand Kylie Cosmetics. The company is worth a minimum of $900 million and Jenner owns 100% of it.
West is third at $150 million in the musicians category. His total net worth is currently $280 million as of July 9. His Yeezy sneakers in partnership with Adidas is one of his biggest moneymakers. He receives a 15% in a per-shoe royalty on wholesale. He’s earned roughly $1 billion in sales over the past 12 months. He also owns Yeezy clothing line.
Also on the list is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, with $89.4 million in the actors category.
He’s made eight figures in movies like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Hobbs and Shaw. He also stars in TV shows like Ballers on HBO. He also partnered with Under Armor to sell clothing, shoes, and headphones.
LeBron James is #17 with $89 million.
Power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce are tied at #20 with $81 million.
They made more than $250 million with a gross of $5 million a night for their On The Run II tour last year. Jay-Z also partnered with Bacardi and has invested in Uber, real estate and fine art. Beyonce successfully relaunched her Ivy Park line in partnership with Adidas last year.
Also on the list is Steph Curry at #23 with $79.8 million, Drake at #25 with $75 million, Kim Kardashian West at #26 with $72 million, Diddy at #28 with $70 million, Tiger Woods at #34 with $63.9 million, Rihanna at #36 with $62 million, Kevin Hart at #38 with $59 million and Travis Scott at #39 with $58 million.
Bruno Mars comes in at #54 with $51.5 million, Steve Harvey is #69 at $45 million, Chris Paul is #72 at $43.8 million, Jennifer Lopez is #76 at $43 million, DJ Khaled is number 87 at $40 million, The Weeknd is #87 at $40 million, Kendrick Lamar is #95 at $48.5 million.
