Comedian Tiffany Haddish is aiming to bring something new to the entertainment industry.
According to reports, the 43-year-old movie star is producing an upcoming docu-series that will showcase the realities of finding love while dealing with homelessness.

Reportedly, Tiffany Haddish spoke about the project prior to the writer’s strike. The show will reportedly follow the lives of successful women who are dating homeless men. It’s unclear when the project will make its debut in light of the Hollywood shutdown. It is noted, however, that the series is one of two non scripted program’s Haddish’s company She Ready productions has in the works in collaboration with Hearst Media Production Group.

Speaking about the docu-series before joining the actors strike, the “Girl’s Trip” star reportedly stated:
“I experienced homelessness myself and found that there was a stigma on it that I don’t think should be there,”

Adding:
“Everyone deserves to have someone supporting them and caring for them — not necessarily carrying them all the way…It’s really important for people to make sure that they know that because it’s really hard to be homeless. So many people are isolated and living on the streets alone.”
Reportedly, Haddish hopes to convey the message that everyone deserves to be loved, no matter their situation. The entertainer has been very candid about her time being without a home in the past and spending some time in foster care. Haddish previously shared that she used to perform at stand-up shows and would sleep and live in her car in between events. The situation went on for some time and even lasted as she began to make a name for herself. In fact, upon meeting fellow comic Kevin Heart, Haddish says she was still dealing with homeless which Heart has said he didn’t realize until she was 100% transparent with him. The entertainers have jokingly bickered in the media about an alleged $300 Heart had given to Haddish at the time, often making jokes about waiting to be paid back.
As far as her experience with love goes, Haddish may no longer be homeless, but her dating life seemingly continues to be elusive. As we covered last month, the TV star opened up about her split from rapper/actor Common last year. If you recall, the pair engaged in a public relationship from 2020 to 2021 before calling it quits. The actress shared recently that while her romance with the musician, real name Lonnie Rashid Lynn, 51, was the most fun and “safest” relationship she’d ever been it, he allegedly abruptly ended things with her via telephone.

Since the break-up, Haddish has since stated that she’s taking time to date herself. Common, on the other hand, is suspected to be in a relationship with EGOT entertainer Jennifer Hudson.
