David Ortiz’s Estranged Wife Wants Him To Leave Miami Mansion, Demands Financial Records
Things are not looking too good for former Boston Red Sox player David “Big Papi” Ortiz. While Ortiz should be celebrating for recently being elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame, it looks like he may be under some stress. As previously reported, the 46-year-old former athlete and his wife of 25 years, Tiffany Ortiz, 47, announced their divorce just last month. Reportedly, Tiffany was the first to file back in December of 2020, followed by David Ortiz filing his own petition for divorce in January of 2021. The pair made the split official when Tiffany took to social media and made the announcement last month.

According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, Tiffany has recently filed an urgent motion for accounting against David. Sources say she wants a hearing to gain knowledge of David’s finances and assets. She is also requesting that David Ortiz leave the couple’s Miami mansion. Oddly enough, the news of this motion comes days after Tiffany publicly congratulated her ex for being elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
“Super congratulations DO! Proud of you. well deserved. it’s been a hell of a ride.”

According to court documents, the couple has been in and out of court for months now. Tiffany has reportedly demanded David and his business partners be deposed. She also allegedly demanded David sit for a videotaped deposition to answer questions about his income and assets.
The pair started dating in 1996, just one year before David Ortiz began playing for the Minnesota Twins. They later married in 2002.
Although the marriage managed to last two decades, they’ve had trouble in the past. David filed for divorce in 2013, telling MLB.com:
“There are some situations in life that work out for a period of time and at some point they don’t work out anymore and you have to move on. I’m moving on. She’s moving on. Hopefully everybody respects that.”

After one year apart, they were able to salvage their marriage. At the time, Tiffany said:
“We separated for a while. We did, but we missed each other terribly.”
